My Story
As many of you will know in July 2020 I lost my amazing Dad to prostate cancer. He was my best friend in the world and the hole he has left in my heart is huge!! The phrase ‘I couldn’t run for a bus’ was made for me! If anyone had told me three years ago that I would enter the 10k Race for life, I would have laughed hard! Dad would have laughed harder!! However, with the help of my lovely husband I have been in training since September and regardless of a dodgy knee inherited from the man this is all for, I am determined to get my distance up to 10K. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
