Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK. In 2009 I lost my Dad to Cancer, It was the hardest thing I've ever had to witness watching my Dad pass away. In my opinion he is my hero he never complained he had his ups and downs but what ever was thrown at him he got on with it no questions asked. My Dad was diagnosed in February 2009 with lung, brain, kidney and bone cancer and died November 2009. Due to the brain cancer my Dad became paralysed down his right side and was looked after by my amazing Mum who then became is carer. He had the cancerous kidney removed but the cancer had already spread. As the Cancer become more intense my Dad was in and out of hospital as treatment was never an option so the doctors and nurses help control his pain and made him comfortable. I can honestly say the doctors and nurses were the best his care was never in doubt. As we are a close family the support of one another was what pulled us through and what was a tough time we made sure that my Dads final wishes came true. Losing my Dad was heart breaking I didn't just lose a Dad I lost my best friend. I miss him dearly. I'm very proud of my Dad, he was an amazing and loving Dad, Husband, Grandad, Brother, Uncle and person these are the things I will cherish forever. Love and Miss you Dad xx A kiss from me to you in heaven xxxxxx
