My Story
Thank you for visiting my Fundraising Page. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. I am doing this fundraiser for one of the most loveliest people in my life... my Auntie Sharon. Sharon was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just over 5 years ago, she beat the odds and after an operation and some chemotherapy Sharon got back to being fit and healthy. Unfortunately, we found out recently it hasn’t stayed away and Sharon now faces an intense course of chemotherapy. It has returned in her remaining pancreas and is also now in her lung, which we are currently being told cannot be operated on. Sharon is a fighter and I am desperately hoping that she can beat this again. I feel totally helpless so the only thing I can think to do is to raise some money to go towards the fight of stopping cancer once and for all. I am hoping to raise a minimum of £500 and if I reach this target, I will shave my hair. Since thinking about doing this, I have read some controversial stories from cancer sufferers about people shaving their heads and was surprised to read some negative opinions. I want people to understand, I am doing this to raise money, not to be told how brave I am being.... I’m not.... it is a big thing for me, but ultimately I have my health, and my hair will grow back but it is something I won’t think twice about doing if I think it will help cancer sufferers ..... especially Sharon. She is the kindest person and would do anything for anyone. Cancer has affected too many close friends/family of mine so it’s time I do something to help. Please donate what you can, I would love to smash the £500 target. Thank you so much x x
