2026 Baxters Loch Ness Marathon
My Story
Two sisters. One marathon. Two brilliant people we’re running for. My sister, Nicola, and I are taking on the Loch Ness Marathon for Cancer Research UK. We’re running in memory of our cousin Lorraine and Granda Ron, who were both taken from us far too quickly. We want to turn that heartbreak into something positive: miles, laughter, probably (definitely) some swearing, and hopefully a whole lot of fundraising that helps future families get more time and better outcomes. If you can spare a donation, we promise to earn it — one sweaty, scenic, slightly chaotic mile at a time. Thank you so much for supporting us!
CAUSE
Bowel cancers
Each year, around 44,100 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer in the UK. That’s around 120 people every single day. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat bowel cancer.
