My Story
I always thought I might do a marathon but I'm not sure I imagined myself walking 26.2 miles all through the night....which is what I'll be doing on the 23rd September along with a fantastically supportive group of friends, to raise money for Cancer Research. I am walking for all of those people I love who have been impacted by this horrible disease but especially for my best friend and inspiration, Louise. I will never forget how she handled herself from the moment of her diagnosis just over 2 years ago through to today. To find out you have breast cancer just days before your 35th birthday then within weeks discover you are pregnant with your second child meaning you have to go through chemotherapy while pregnant, are things I wouldn't wish on anyone. But if it does happen, then getting the best treatment and care is vital and is why Louise is doing so well now. If you can spare anything to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean a lot to me. Thanks you! Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives.
