My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. As I watched her suffer, without complaining, I was struck by how indiscriminate the illness is and how helpless we remain in so many cases. I want to run the race for life to honour my mum's extraordinary bravery in the face of the cruellest of illnesses and to support the vital research into the causes and treatment of cancer made possible by the Cancer Research Fund.
