Cancer is happening right now, affecting so many people's lives and taking away loved ones. This terrible disease has taken away my Auntie Jean and just this week and taken away Gregg's lovely, kind, caring and amazing Mum Dulcie after she lost her battle against cancer! Although breakthroughs are being made and more and more people are able to beat it, there are still too many people who lose their lives to it! Approximately 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Please help to fund the research into helping to find a cure for this disease by sponsoring me to complete the 5K pretty Mudder course on 1st July. I know that it is only 5K and a lot of you runners may do it regularly... but I am most definitely not a runner, in fact, if I can manage more than 2 minutes of running on a treadmill without having to slow down to a walk it's an achievement. I also hate getting wet, hate heights and detest mud even more.... this course will have me running, jumping over obstacles, climbing up and over A frames, crawling through mud pits under cargo nets and sliding into muddy water!
