walking 10000 steps a day in march

Myself and Shmi (my retired racing greyhound) will be walking 10000 steps every day in March for Woof All Over Cancer. Various members of my family (like most other families!) have been diagnosed with different forms of cancer over the years. I’m taking part to raise vital funds to stop this evil disease. 10k steps a day might not sound like much of a challenge to most people, it is a big challenge for myself as I broke my back in 2012 and have undergone two major back operations. My latest surgery was in December 2018 and it still has a big impact on my mobility and fitness.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
