My Story
1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with Cancer in their lifetime. My Mum was diagnosed in 2008, and again in 2018. She was successfully treated on both occasions based on work done by Cancer Research UK. Tonight, my family and I will be ‘lit up’ for the Shine Night Walk around Leeds City Centre, to show our solidarity with and for the many others who have a Cancer story, and to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. I walk tonight for my Mum. For My Godmother/Auntie. For Marion Ward. For my Grandma. For my Gran. For my Grandad Alf. For all those who will benefit from the money raised. And for all those who weren’t as fortunate to be able to do so. Please join us in donating and helping to bring forward the day when all Cancer can be cured. So many people could and can be helped.
