My Story

So we all know someone who has or suffered or passed away because of this evil disease. I ran the 5k Muddy Run for my Aunty a few years ago and this time I'm running because of a close friend, who's strength and determination is an inspiration and this is the only way I know I can help her. I guess I have been naïve about the financial impact cancer has on someone's life, I only considered the health implications but not the fact that if you can't work then you are financially screwed as benefits are not enough to keep a family fed and bills covered. So I take my hat off to all of those running to raise funds for cancer because every penny we raise it helps someone fighting for their lives but also to help them financially, to put food on their table and keep a roof over their head but we still need to do more!!
