My Story
Just over two months ago I went to the doctors, worried about an illness that replicated all the symptoms of bowel cancer. I was lucky - it turned out to be Ulcerative Colitis, but the doctor did realise my fears and explained that bowel cancer could be a realistic diagnosis (along with IBD). I was one of the lucky ones but whilst I was waiting for my diagnosis, I came across many incredible people who live with cancer on a daily basis and this is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
