My Story
October 5th 2017 is a date I'll never forget. Hearing the words "it's cancer" not long after giving birth and being only 33, has changed my world forever. Being diagnosed with incurable breast cancer but very much treatable, means Cancer Research UK is vital in finding new treatments to help me live as normal life as possible and more time with my precious 5 month old baby boy, wonderful boyfriend, family and friends! The medical bit.... Without this research, I wouldn't have been lucky enough to be funded for a new target therapy which gives me the best possible combination of treatment for my cancer! Since diagnosis, two other drugs have been released and another starting human trials which could be options for me in the future! The IMPORTANT bit... So how do I repay my best friends for all their love and support...a 5k fun run of course! ? Some of them are training to run, some of us will be making it up to a quick wiggle (me mainly). All we're asking is if you can spare the cost of a pint or glass of wine as donation for this massively important cause to me and many others!! Thank you for reading xx Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
