My Story

I currently work in an oncology day unit in a hospital. I see the effects of cancer on a daily basis and the effects it has on individuals and their family/loved ones. As a family we have experienced first hand the journey that has to be taken when a loved one is diagnosed. I wish to raise some money for Cancer Research UK and support the work they do in fighting this disease. I am taking part in the ‘Shine Night Walk Newcastle Gateshead 10k’ on the 12th October. I have set myself a modest target of raising £100 to support this cause. Any donations, no matter how small will be greatly appreciated and will go directly to this charity. Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives.
