Shine London 2018 - Full Marathon
Sat 22 Sep 2018
I fancied a challenge and doing the Shine Night Walk means I get to support Cancer Research UK in the process.
Earlier this year Max, Zoe and I thought it would be 'fun' to sign up for a challenge. And what better challenge then walking 26 miles around London at night. Unlike our team name suggests we won't be walking this three legged (that may be a step too far!). We haven't done a huge amount of training, but we have gone on a few evening strolls with the local urban wildlife fuelled with salty snacks. Whatever happens it will be fun to see the city go to sleep and wake back up again, whilst we're sober and hopefully still awake! We'd love you to donate whatever you can to help us support Cancer Research UK in the process. Every penny will make a difference when we're traversing the city desperate for our beds! Thank you. Linda, Max and Zoe xxx ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years.
