Linda takes on Sugar Free February

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. This February, I will be ditching the sweet stuff and giving up sugar for the whole month to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Every penny makes a huge difference to vital cancer research so please help me conquer my cravings and show your support with a donation to my page. Sugar is in so many foods, but the sugars I will be giving up are non natural sugars, these are things like the usual chocolate, cakes, biscuits, sweets, etc, but what we don't think about is the hidden ingredients in most foods. So as well as my lovely sweet treats, I will also be saying goodbye to things like my sweet and sour from the Chinese, sauces like tomato ketchup, even some pre packaged foods and shop bought sandwiches. This is going to be a tough challenge as I suffer with a major sweet tooth, but it will help me focus on eating the right foods like fruit and vegetables, making sure I cook from scratch rather then grabbing something pre made off the shelf. But this wont be just a challenge for February, because when March roles around and the limitations are gone, I will be carrying on as a change of lifestyle, thinking about what I eat and enjoying a treat, not damaging myself with a sugar overload.
