Mum - Linda Cross
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This January I’m taking on Dryathlon® and raising money for Cancer Research UK. I’ll be ditching the drink for one month to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. 2 years ago today (27th December) I received a phone call which was going to change everything forever! Mum called me to tell me she had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer for the second time! This felt like I had run head first into a brick wall! Goodness knows how she must have felt bless her! As most of you will know our brave Mum fought this crappy disease head on for over a year undergoing both chemo & radiotherapy, steroid treatments and surgery! Sadly in February Mum couldn't fight anymore and she passed away peacefully at the Pilgrims hospice in Canterbury

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
