Lilly's Race for Life
Nottingham 5k 2018
Sun 3 Jun 2018
Our next door neighbour sadly passed away from cancer , I cared for her as did many others towards the end but while I was doing this my 8 year old daughter was with me most days . Sue has a mentally disabled son and so this made the situation even more heartbreaking , Lilly would sit and keep Steven occupied while i sorted sue out. Lilly was there to share sues 73rd birthday on the Friday and she sadly passed away the following evening. Lilly always jokes now " at least she saw my beautiful face on her last day here " As I'm sure many of you who have been effected by cancer know that the last days no one wants to see anyone going through especially an 8 year old girl . So fast foward 3 weeks and Lilly has taken it upon herself to run the race for life in memory of sue , I am so proud and so if any of you could sponsor her you'd make a little girl very happy . It's also in memory of my grandad and an old friend of mine Leanne who passed away the week after sue at just aged 34 ... she would be barking now to check those boobies ?? im sorry for the long post guys #proud #cancersucks
