I’m going sugar free for February in honour of a little lad called Sam who has been fighting cancer.
Hi there folks! This February I’m ditching the sweet stuff (oh my word, this is going to be worse than giving up alcohol!) and I am giving up sugar for a whole month to raise money for Cancer Research UK - together, we want to help beat cancer sooner. Keep me motivated and show your support by donating even the smallest of amounts. It really does mean a lot. I got roped into this by someone called Tamsin (we are both scoffing a doughnut at the end of this Tams!) and we will be doing this together. Tamsin's eldest son, Sam, was diagnosed with Lukaemia (ALL) back in 2013, aged 4. He has undergone intense treatment and is due to finish this in April 2017. The final hurdle is in sight, and doing this sugar free month means that, by the end of it, Sam will be mere weeks away from his end of treatment. Tamsin, Sam, her husband Stuart and youngest son, Ross have somehow remained upbeat and strong thought Sam's treatment. They have tried to keep life as normal as possible, Sam has attended school around his treatment, and they are an inspiration to all who know them. Hopefully come April, Sam will ding that end of treatment bell and will have kicked cancer's butt. We are all cheering him on to that finish line. Thanks so much in advance. It means the world to us all, especially Sam and his family. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK
