A few friends and I have joined up to help raise money for a charity that is very close to my heart. I lost my mum in December 2018 to cancer. My mum Vicky was diagnosed with a brain tumour in the summer of 2017. This was heartbreaking news to all our close family and friends. My mum insisted in all of us carrying on as normal as possible. Going through a surgery, radio therapy, chemotherapy and many more to try and beat cancer we thought she would. However we found out late in the year that her particular cancer was incurable and only a few months later she sadly passed away. I want to say thanks to everyone who helped my mum and my family through this. Any donation would be much appreciated no matter how much or little. By raising money for this amazing charity, I hope that other families like mine have the help they deserve. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
