My Story
I'm raising money for cancer research as it is a charity close to my heart. I decided I want to take part in the London Marathon as a reminder to myself and others that no matter what happens in life it is never too late to be able to achieve goals despite the setbacks that life can throw at you. I want to be able to complete the marathon not only for myself who suffered mentally as a result of the stresses that cancer can indirectly cause; but for both my mum who owes her life to charities like Cancer Research UK; my Grandad who is in my thoughts daily; all the other people who have suffered, whether it be physically or mentally as a result from cancer. The effects it can have on so many people, from different walks of life is why I want to do this, as they are not alone.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
