In memory of

MY DADDY. JOHN WADE

My Story

19th August 2014 my world fell apart, I attended the breast clinic because I had found a lump in my boob, I honestly thought it was going to be a cyst or similar and that I'd be given antibiotics or what not and sent on my way. I was so sure that It was going to be nothing that I took Abbie with me, we spent the time between scans and prodding mucking about and reading stories. Then they sent in the big guns, one to watch Ab's and Pat introduced herself to me and informed me that she was now my MacMillan nurse. I was told that upon looking at my Mammogram and ultrasound scans that I had CANCER, I was to have a biopsy to confirm but they were 96% sure that what they'd seen was cancer. It was confirmed to be Grade 3 invasive carcinoma (aggresive cancer). Tumour was removed along with some lymph nodes, chemo and all manor of nasty drugs followed. I tried to rock the slap head look.........I absolutely hated it. Radiotherapy next, not great but needed. Also all the while, and through till December 2015 a drug called Herceptin infused via drip every 3 weeks and regular heart scans. The nurses, doctors, radiographers, cleaners.....everyone that helped keep me alive, comfortable and happy are worth their weight in gold. 2016 was to mark an amazing year, all treatment finished and my 40th birthday..............CELEBRATE with my friends and loved ones........BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Cancer attacked my world proper this time. On march 4th 2016 My beautiful Dad told me that they'd found a lickle cancer in his bones but he'd be alright. That vile disease took my beautiful Dad to Hell and back. In 34 days he was tortured, chewed up and spat out. No one should suffer like my Dad did, but he never moaned and was so thankful to everyone that was trying to help him. So on behalf of and in memory of my BEAUTIFUL HERO DAD I'm going to walk 26 miles around London in the dark. SHINE WALK 2017. Please dig deep and give what you can because September 23rd 2017 .............................it's gonna kill me!!!!!!!!!!! IT DIDN'T KILL ME LOL, SO I'M DOING IT AGAIN XX SHINE 2018. 23RD SEPTEMBER 21.20 START...... Please, if you can, donate a little or share my page every chance you get. Mwarrrrrr xxxxxx 26.2 MILES ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
