My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I would describe cancer as a 'wasp'. It doesn't care who it picks - young , old, any race, any religion. It touches people's lives and leaves stories of devastation, struggle, heart ache and fear. People enter their very own roller coaster ride, praying it will stop for them to get off but for some it just keeps going! I watch on a daily basis the effects of cancer, the treatment used and the fabulous work of the Doctors and Nurses at Addenbrookes hospital. The trials that they run are in depth and complex and we desperately need to keep raising money to support them to ensure we keep fighting to find a cure to this terrible disease! My best friend fights this disease on a daily basis and I walk her journey with her... I will never know how it truly feels to be in her shoes but I do know she lives on this roller coaster and we need to keep working and raising money to develop a 'stop' button!

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
