My Dad and everyone else diagnosed & affected by Cancer
Those of you that know me well, will know running/jogging is just not my thing at all! Still this year some of us ladies in the office have decided to raise some money and engage in some level of physical exercise :) so here goes. I lost my dad to Stage 4 Lung Cancer 4 years ago after he had already been been diagnosed with Colon Cancer & Skin Cancer almost 15 years before and sadly he never got the chance to meet our gorgeous son George. In the space of the same 12 months, I lost 4 dear friends all to Cancer and all under the age of 45 and since then it has been brought closer to home again with another family member being diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Sadly, Cancer is everywhere & its a scary business. Fundraising is vital & every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please if you can, sponsor me now. With almost 140 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. And, although rarer, around 350 men are also diagnosed with breast cancer every year. The good news is more than two-thirds of women now survive 20 years or more. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to diagnose and treat the disease.
