Let’s beat cancer 10K run

Well we’re all sick of the C word… and I’m not talking Covid, I’m talking Cancer. In the midst of the global pandemic my best friends sister Lisa was diagnosed with breast cancer and has had to deal with telling her kids she has cancer, shielding, social distancing from loved ones when she needed a hug the most, a major invasive operation, chemo, hair loss (& Lisa’s hair I literally worshipped growing up!) and trying to deal with keeping her sanity and family life going. It blows my mind that people like her have had to deal with this, particularly with everything else going on in the world. We all know somebody who’s been touched by cancer in some way and it never gets easier to deal with, so in my simple way I’ve joined forces with my best friend Louise to run a 10K in the hope of doing a little bit to raise money for charity so maybe others won’t have to go through all of this! I promised to do my best and make you all proud (can’t promise to do it in break neck speed but I’ll get there) Thanks for any donations, you are wonderful people. X
