UPDATE 28 Nov. 400 lengths completed, that's 10k. Finished today with 64 lengths thats 1 mile. Havent swum a mile since i was 13 years old :)

My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I’m completing the Swim 10k Challenge throughout November to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. This year I lost my oldest friend, Anne Hinchliffe to cancer. We learnt to swim together, did swimming lifesaving badges together and competed at local swimming galas together. So it seemed natural to take the plunge with this sponsored swim. But all that swimming with Anne was nearly 50 years ago and since then ive really only swum on holiday. So this 10k swim will be quite a challenge for me, but I'm doing it in memory of Anne, my brother-in-law John and many other friends who have suffered with this awful disease. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
