Thank you for visiting my Cancer Research UK Cycle 300 page. This September, before the end of the month, I will complete 300 miles on my bike for Cancer Research UK. I will be pedalling harder than ever because I want to raise money for life-saving research and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. If you know me, then you know I love a challenge.... and this is a challenge.... 300 MILES - I MUST BE MAD!!! Luckily I am a little crazy, but those of you that know me, know that I'm pretty determined!!! Why do I want to beat this disease.... well I lost my mum and gran to breast cancer when I was too young, they were too young too... they didn't get the chance to meet my wonderful husband or my two amazing children. They didn't get to travel to amazing places in the world that I have had the privilege to visit... so many things I would loved to have shared with them - But cancer had a different plan. Im in the high risk category, I've had bits of my body hoovered out to reduce my risk.... but the best option is to find a cure!! I believe in my children's life time there will be a cure, but it hasn't come fast enough for so many mums, grans, aunts, wives and of course the chaps too!!! Help me stay motivated.... I'm pedalling for pounds, so every little you can give adds up to a lot if we all do this together. Every £1 helps towards a cure... help me get through this month.......I would love to raise £300 - that's £1 per mile... in wind, rain, sunshine or snow... please please please sponsor a mile or two. Thank you - and hope that one day soon there will be a cure and future generations won't have to do this stuff or deal with the heart break of losing someone they love to cancer. Oh ..... Sorry Mark!!! If I'm doing this, as you are my official wing man on the bike, you're doing it too.... so actually between us we're doing 600 MILES - YES, 600 MILES - now I wonder if you lovely people could help us smash our £300 target and maybe, just maybe get us to £600? Love YOU!!! 😘
