My Story
The basics: Solo walk of 12.6 miles in total, body wax beforehand, and nominated attire. The explanation: During the summer of 2019, on a hot and sunny day, I'll undergo a solo walk from my house in Saltash to Vue Cinema in Plymouth, and then back again. According to Google Maps, it's a 6.3 mile trek each way, so in total I'll be walking 12.6 miles. Aside from personal training from now until the day of the walk, I'll be adding a couple of extra challenges which you, the sponsors of this walk, can decide on. The first challenge I'll be taking on is a wax. Those of you who sponsor my walk will choose which part of me gets shredded. Oh, and I'll be getting the wax done as close to the day of the walk as possible -- talk about itching to make a difference, eh? To top it off, nominate what I'll wear on the walk! Whatever crazy attire comes to mind, if you want me to walk 12.6 miles in it then feel free to suggest it. Nothing's ruled out! As much as this walk-wax-wear will be to support Cancer Research UK in their noble goal for beating cancer, this is also a personal achievement that I can one day look back to and say, "For once, my craziness helped something substantial." I intend to record the entire journey on camera. I'll then put out two videos: a completely unedited version as well as a shorter edited version for entertainment purposes.
