Lee's Great Golf Challenge Fundraising Page

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This August, I'll be part of the team taking on four rounds of golf (72 holes) on one day to raise money for Cancer Research UK. On the 16th of July 2017 Lee was preparing for his holiday with school chums to Greece but had been complaining of the occasional head ache and a heavy cough which wouldn’t seem to shift. As he was flying that Friday his dad suggested a quick visit to the doctor would be on the safe side, how events turned from there. The doctor referred him to Hospital for an x-ray, this lead to a scan and some tests, a few hours later Lee was diagnosed with Cancer (Shock) the first question was How! These lead to Lee being in Hospital for a month and having 8 cycles of chemotherapy at Charing cross Hospital, a special thanks to the doctor Michael Gonzalez who helped me through this time Even though the tumour had shrunk, and the treatment was working there was still some left and was told that we had to go to Florida America for Proton Therapy Beam treatment. Still in and out of hospital it was time to go to Florida for radiation treatment this would be for 12 weeks and consisted of 30 sessions (special thanks to all in Jacksonville). So, after having all this treatment and being now in a stable condition and under 3 monthly surveillance and no medication, I would like to give something back to the Doctors, nurses family & friends and all the people that supported me by helping with cancer research at Charing Cross Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital Sarcoma unit Chelsea and their research to hopefully cure cancer for good one day.
