I’m taking part in The Great Golf Challenge for Cancer Research UK.
On May 1, three days before my wife Caroline's 39th birthday, she was diagnosed with bowel cancer. It was the worst possible news; a living nightmare. Life with two young children is chaotic at best, but this news was beyond anything we could ever have imagined. After many sleepless nights and worry Caroline had an operation to remove the tumour. There were many possible outcomes - including the very worst. The operation was successful and I am delighted she is now on the road to a full recovery. We are the lucky ones. I would not wish what we have been through on anyone and developments in cancer research will hopefully mean fewer people have the experience we have had. If you do one thing today, give the one you love a hug and tell them you love them. You never know when things will change. If you do two things, make the second one sponsoring me just a few of your hard earned pounds. What I will be doing is so insignificant compared to what Caroline, and we as a family, have been through but the money raised can hopefully go some small way towards helping others... thank you. X Oh, and if you want to join me in the challenge, then let me know.
