My Story
I have finally completed the cycle300 challenge! It was harder than I thought it would be but also more rewarding than I realised it would too. This ride has seen me pass through at least 33 towns, on 3 different bikes and in sun, wind and rain. I completed a few night time rides (one with a scarily dark country lane) and numerous weekend doubles. I worked out that my average speed through the month was only 12.5 mph - meaning I spent 24 hours in total on my bike. This also included 11,000 feet of elevation, with the bonus of an equal 11,000 feet of downhill riding. My best moment was completing 75 miles in less than 24 hours - mainly as I needed to catch up on plans due to 6 days of no riding (work sometimes takes priority lol) I greatly appreciate every donation and positive message I have received along the way and thoroughly recommend this challenge to anybody that can ride a bike and wants to make a small but worth difference
