I’m taking part to fight this devil of a disease. To prevent others from suffering the way Mum did. To prevent families from feeling the utter devastation of loss that my family has.

My Story

In September 2018 my Mum, my children’s Grandma, Jane was diagnosed with lung cancer. 3 months later she was gone. I have never truly hated anything in my life until this nasty disease came into our lives. Now I want to channel that hatred into determination and do this Race For Life in honour of my Mum. I’m doing this to raise money to help save lives. To prevent others suffering. To prevent others heartache. To prevent other parents having to tell their child that someone they loved so much has gone to heaven. To help me heal. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
