My Story
We all know someone who has had their lives torn apart by cancer, some survive and some unfortunately don't... It's about time we got those survival rates much higher, and cancer research can do exactly that! As part of my weight loss journey, I want to get fit and healthy so that I can enjoy time with my children more and what better way to do that than raising money for such an amazing cause. I have lost family members to cancer and I've seen them battle with the disease, so I'll be running (or walking) in memory of my Grandma, Anne Kirkbride and my Grandad, Roy Harvey, as well as my cousin, Lee Harvey who we have lost to cancer. As well as other family members who have beaten cancer thanks to early diagnosis and research into better treatment! Any donation helps, whether it's £1 or £10 💕

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
