My Story
We all know someone who has/is fighting this or someone who has a loved one fighting it, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. A year ago my mum was diagnosed with myeloma, a blood cancer, and the future looked bleak. But thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital where we work or have worked, my mum is now in remission which I didn’t think would happen in those dark days. This is also why I feel so strongly about taking part and trying to do my bit to kick cancer in the a***. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
