For my Mum and every other person who has been unfortunate to be diagnosed with Cancer.
My Story
2 years ago I witnessed the hardest thing I've ever come face to face with. My mum, being told she had Breast Cancer. Now in her 2nd year of remission, we're lucky to still have her with us. Not everyone is as lucky as us though and by taking part in this race, I want to be help make a difference. Although 5 kilometres doesn't sound much, people who know me will know that this is going to be a challenge! I'm the type of person who thinks a walk around the block is an achievement and then goes and celebrates with a glass of wine afterwards! So please, please sponsor me. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
