My Story
Longest Day Up is a motorbike challenge to travel from Land’s End to John O'Groats on the longest day of the year between sunrise and sunset. Bikes must have been bought for no more than £600. We all know someone who has suffered with cancer, so this is a great cause to support and do one of my favourite things ride a motorbike. The Honda VFR 800 had a good service history but had been sat in a garden neglected for 3 years, exposed to the elements and in need of lots of work, including a complete brake overhaul, which on a 1999 Honda with combined braking is a nightmare, but it’s all backup and running, the thought of a 1000 mile trip on a bike I fixed including the brakes does come with a few sleepless nights.
