My Story
I'm running for my Grandpa who fought leukaemia for 7 years. His treatment involved important new research and drugs that were being introduced year by year. I realised the importance of funding that Cancer Research UK requires to continue developing treatments to beat the disease. Grandpa tried every new treatment available on the market without complaint and with good humour becoming the Hospital's 'poster boy' for leukaemia treatment as he stubbornly refused to give in to his illness. I have inherited my Grandpa's determination, commitment and positive attitude. For as long as I can remember I've watched the London marathon year after year on TV but I will be 18 years old this year and for the first time old enough to participate and tackle the race myself. With your generous help and support I have no doubt I can cross the finish line on April 26th with a smile on my face (and maybe a little pain in my legs...). Cancer is happening right now and there’s no time to lose! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
