Lauren's Race for Life At Home

I have decided to do the race for life in memory of my Nanna Kay and Grandad Ken. As a child I was so lucky to have the best nanna and grandad, we were always laughing and they spoiled us rotten... then things changed. It was my grandad that was first diagnosed, the dreaded C word, being young I didn’t really understand but I know he suffered immensely, everything changed after he passed away. I helped my nanna try to over come his death by helping to choose a dog for company. We spent so many special moments together as time went by but then last year in November 2020 she started to feel Unwell. My world fell Apart again when the diagnosis was Cancer! From diagnosis to her passing was only three weeks, and I am still Coming to terms with the fact I have lost her! I have lost two of the most amazing people in my life to Cancer and I hope you will help me to raise funds for Cancer Research UK to help other families who are unfortunately going though similar situations.
