Lauren's Race for Life
Pretty Muddy Blackpool 5k 2017

After losing both of my granddads 4 months apart i want to raise money and awareness for cancer.
In memory of
Terry and Roland (Grandy and Granda)
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. In September 2016 my Grandy (Terry) was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Just a week later my Granda (Roland) was also diagnosed with terminal cancer. Just one month later on Friday 14th October 2016 my Grandy passed away suddenly. 4 months later (the day before my 17th birthday) on the 9th February 2017 my Granda sadly passed away too. Both of them were 80 years old when they passed, however they could and should have lived a lot longer. These two men were two of the most influential men in my life and should have been able to live to see me turn 18 and at least go on to university.
