My Story
When I was 18 my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer, 10 years after her sister had also fought the disease. While my mum fought it, my best friends mum also fought it. All of these women were under the age of 50, the current starting age for mammogram screening. I am lucky enough to say each of these amazing women won their fight but it shows just how common it is. This is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and continue to save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now if you can.
