I'm undertaking the National 3 Peaks Challenge, attempting to complete them in 24 hours, to raise money for Cancer Research UK!
My Story
I love, I have loved and I have lost people in my life with all different types of Cancer and I want to push myself to raise money to fund vital research to help us beat cancer sooner. On Tuesday 16th July, I will be hiking the highest 3 peaks across the UK to raise money for Cancer Research UK. This national 3 peaks challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon), all within 24 hours. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft). The total driving distance is 462 miles. By donating you will help us see 3 in 4 people in the UK survive their cancer by 2034. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
