Race For Life 2020 Style
September 26th 2020 I'm going to run my own 5k race for life. Cancer research has lost SO much money due to Covid, vital treament has been delayed or stopped. And it's you and I that suffers in the long run. My mam was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in April 2019, and thankfully she is almost at the end of her treatment! 3 surgeries, 13 Chemotherapy sessions, 15 radiotherapy sessions and 18 immunology sessions. Plus every kind of complication along the way you can imagine. It hasn't been easy. My stepdad has cared tirelessly for her, despite getting his own cancer diagnosis late 2019 also. Thanks to incredible research and technology we are able to keep our loved ones with us for longer. If it wasn't for charities like Cancer Research UK, that wouldn't be possible.
