Laura's Race for Life

I have bitten the bullet and signed up for this years Race for Life 10k to raise money for Cancer Research UK. As my friends know, I love organising events to raise money for charity but I have never done anything like this before. I am on a wee health kick and this will encourage me to keep going. Up until today (8th April 2019) I have lost 23lbs and I am aiming for 35lbs in time for taking part in the race. I do not plan on running this, but I will finish it and hopefully in a decent time, (I have long legs haha). Cancer is everywhere and it does not discriminate who it chooses to affect, I have lost friends and family to the disease and I have someone very close to me right now just getting over an operation that has hopefully got rid of it, so if I can do a lttle bit towards finding a cure then I am in there! 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
