Laura's Race for Life At Home

As many of you know I have had many family and friends die due to cancer. Although last year my step dad Alan beat cancer like the kickass he is! But the start of 2020 was a scary one. The thought of Alan not being here broke my heart, for Nancy to loose her Grandad, to not be around for Christmas, family days, my mum being alone, all sorts of things run through your head. But... with the great work from cancer research Alan’s diagnosis of Prostate Cancer was quick and he had successful surgery to have his prostate removed. We can now look forward to a future with Alan in it and no words can describe how that feels. That's why I'll be taking part in the Race for Life at Home. It has been many years since I have done a race for life, and as usual I will have Jennie and Hannah doing it with me. This year men have been allowed to join so Steven is joining us after the years of being our cheerleader on the side he is now by our side (or leaving us for dust as he runs ahead haha).
