I'm taking part in Race for Life for my sister Sheryl who is recovering from surgery to rid her of cancer. I’m also doing it for Jayden’s stepmum Michelle who has spent the last year fighting cancer💞
My Story
Raising money is an important part but the main reason I’m doing Race For Life is to raise awareness and try to encourage more women to keep their smear tests up to date. A smear test has literally saved my sisters life. She’s just had surgery to remove the cancer, so her family and friends are taking part in Race For Life on her behalf as she sounds the starter bell this year.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
