My Story
Well it’s official – January must have broken me as today Steph and I have signed up for the Manchester 5k Pretty Muddy in July. So not only will there be some form of running, which by the way I’ve been told I am genetically not built for and shouldn’t really do, but also obstacles and slippy mud, what could possibly go wrong? Please take pity on our poor souls because on paper it sounds fun (?!) but in reality, it’s going to be pretty gross and I’m already stressed about what to wear. But all of the dramatics aside, as we all know cancer is something that effects all of us whether it be through seeing family and friends suffer or even worse, directly ourselves. If it were a human, I’d tell it to take a long walk off a short cliff but as that’s not an option, we’re going to raise what we can for Cancer Research and throw ourselves through mud...and potentially roll into the nearest prosecco bar after if they’ll have us. If anything, you should donate to take pity on Steph who will have to drag my butt around whilst I cry because I’m about as useful at this type of thing as a wet paper bag. Thank you in advanced!
