I'm taking part in Race for Life to raise money to beat cancer sooner - what better reason is there?
In memory of
Ken Harvey
Sadly, we all know someone who has had their lives affected by cancer, loosing loved ones or watching them fight like hell to win their cancer battles. I'm no different, I've watched my awesome cousin Chris, fight with everything she has to have a life after cancer and live every day to the full. But we need to do more as the number of sad stories still outweigh those happier ones. Christmas 2016 we lost my beloved Grandad to cancer. I wish I could say he is the only friend or family member we've lost, but sadly that isn't the case and those reading this who've lost those loved ones know who they are. So Audrey, Erin and I are doing our bit for Cancer research, raising money and running the St Albans 10K on the 22nd July, so that more people can have stories and a life after cancer. Racing for life - doing it with loved ones, thinking of loved ones and doing it in memory of my Grandad, Ken Harvey. We truly are 'sistas from other mistas' these ladies are my rocks, through thick and thin and now we will add race for life to the list of things we have achieved together. Love you guys. X x x x 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
