My Story
CANCER. Something that affects 1 in 2 people in their lifetime. Those odds are very scary and the likelihood is that we all know someone who has been affected by this awful disease. My biggest inspiration behind this is my Brother. Growing up we were always extremely close but at age of 30 my families world was rocked when he was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer. My heart was broken and like anyone in that situation, you think of the worst case scenario because you’re unsure of the road ahead and where this horrible journey may take you. You automatically fear the worst... The possibility of a world without a person you love beyond measure. Though an incredibly scary time, with huge thanks to our wonderful NHS he was given the all clear. Without fundraising being in place to support Cancer Research, his story could have been very different. We are so thankful to have him with us, but it has made me very aware that every single day, someone is losing their battle to Cancer. Someone is losing a parent, a child, a friend, a partner... So with that in mind, I have signed up in hopes to not only motivate myself to get fit and find a love for running but more importantly, help raise money. No matter the amount, every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. I will never be able to thank you enough for any donations you are able to make and for the support. Lets kick Cancers ass once and for all! Thank you x
