Laura's Race for Life
Preston 5k 2019
Sun 16 Jun 2019 - Sun 16 Jun 2019
My grandma Elsie (SURVIVOR) and My partners nana Phyllis (SADLY TAKEN).
This year in June I will be taking part in the race for life, this means a lot to me because in may 2017 my grandma was diagnosed with cancer, thankfully she survived as it was caught in the early stages..she’s alive and well. She’s enjoying being a great grandma to my daughter Halle...but I wouldn’t of known what to do if we didn’t have the support and care from the nurses and doctors who took care of her and helped her to overcome cancer. As well as my grandma I also want to race for my partner Ashley’s..nana who was very sadly taken from the family last year due to cancer..she was very loved and is still loved by her family...cancer deprived her of meeting her first great grandchild and it is still a raw wound for Ashley...it is for this reason that we will race and get that bit further to BEATING cancer. I would grately appreciate if I were to be sponsored by any friends or family. Together we will do this 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏼♂️💖🎗
