Laura's Race for Life

4 months ago on March 10th, my best friend Nicola was taken from us far too soon. She fought her fight with breast cancer but unfortunately got secondary liver and spine cancer and lost her battle at the age of 35. There isn’t a day go by that she isn’t on my mind and in my heart. It’s taken me this long to find something so fitting to honour her with. Nicola was always up for a laugh and throughout our childhood we did some pretty funny things. Memories that I will always cherish. As I think about taking part In A Race for Life Pretty Muddy I can see Nicola in my mind. The laughs she would be doing covered in mud. Cancer took her life far too soon and in her memory myself and my sister in law Kate are taking part to try and raise money in a bid to help other families and friends have a chance to have longer with their loved ones who may be effected by cancer. Nicola raised money herself for Cancer research whilst she was undergoing cancer treatment, that’s the kind of selfless person she was. Always thinking of others. And now it’s my time to be thinking of her in a way she would approve off. So if you can spare any money at all. Please do so in memory of Nicola and all the other people that have lost loved ones.
