Shine Night Walk London 2026 - Full Marathon
My Story
As some of you may know, I lost my Mum to bowel Cancer in July 2024, after a short illness. Losing my Mum will affect me forever and has changed who I am as a person, so I am raising money in the hope that new treatments are found and others do not have to face the loss that I had to. A little bit about my Mum - she was the kindest person I knew with the biggest heart. She loved a chat with a cuppa tea, feeding the birds, taking a walk around the Hollow Ponds and being with her loved ones. She put every ounce of energy she had into being the best wife, mother and grandmother that she could be and it paid off, because her passing has left a huge hole in our lives. I am doing this marathon walk with my daughter, Emily, who is raising money for the same charity. We have picked the full marathon distance which will take us approx. 9 hours to complete. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s ground breaking work. Donate to my Giving Page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
